The title listeners see in their app comes from your stream metadata. If it is wrong, it is usually one of these three things.
1. Your tags are empty
AutoDJ reads artist and title from the ID3 tags of your files. If those are empty you see the filename. Fill your tags with something like Mp3tag before uploading.
2. Your encoder sends no metadata
In BUTT you enable this under Settings, Stream, at Update song name. In Mixxx it happens automatically as soon as you load a track into a deck.
3. You use Shoutcast v2 without v2 support
Shoutcast v2 uses a different metadata system than v1. If your encoder only supports v1, pick the v1 compatible mode in Centova Cast, or move to Icecast.

Getting your tags right
- 1Download Mp3tag, free for Windows and Mac.
- 2Drag your music folder into the window.
- 3Select everything and use Filename to Tag if your files are named Artist - Title.
- 4Check that Artist and Title are filled and save.
- 5Only then upload to Centova Cast.

Want to promote in your title? Put your station name in the Station name field, not in every track title. The latter looks messy in radio apps and some directories reject it.
